Matias Riccitelli

Matias Riccitelli is a young and thrillingly bold winemaker who is reinventing Argentina’s Malbec style and impressing the world with a refreshing approach to winemaking itself. Born to famed Argentine winemaker Jorge Riccitelli, Matias opted to arm himself with valuable international experience working in vineyards across the world and eventually returned home to make his own wines.

Matias chose Mendoza’s Luja de Cuyo region where he owns 20 hectares of ungrafted old vineyards in three distinct microclimates at the foothills of the Andes mountains. Matias Riccitelli wines reflect the young winemaker’s love for the vast Mendoza region and winemaking ethos that marries tradition and modern creativity.
